Once again the STARS shown bright as the students of Quigley Catholic provided the audiences with a magnificent production of "Godspell." For four shows, 55 of Quigley Catholic's talented students wowed us with their stirring renditions of "Beautiful City," "We Beseech Thee," "Day by Day" among otheres and a touching, yet uplifting Finale. With George Burnet portaying Jesus and Daniel Pieffer portraying John the Baptist/Judas, the disciples, friends and chorus acted, danced and sang their way into our souls. The story of Godspell follows Jesus from his time building his community of disciples and friends until the time he is betrayed by Judas and suffers death beacuse of this betrayal. While Godspell shares the story of Jesus through parables and his final hours, it also tells these parables with a lightheartedness and at time comedic tone. This all changes as Jesus suffers and dies for all of us in the moving finale.
We want to thank the cast, crew and directors for their abundant time spent perfecting this production and for providing us with 3 days of brilliant story telling.
