From the Director of Advancement

Dear Fellow Alumni & Friends of Quigley Catholic,

“There is no creation without tradition; the 'new' is an inflection on a preceding form; novelty is always a variation on the past.” ― Carlos Fuentes

The tradition of a caring family atmosphere rooted in Christ, coupled with discipline and challenging academics, continues to make Quigley Catholic a very special place.

Once again Quigley Catholic has been recognized by the prestigious Cardinal Newman Society as one of the “Top 50” Catholic high schools in the United States.  We continue to have a 100% college acceptance rate, with graduates receiving an average of $88,000 in scholarship offers.  Recently, we had a graduate decide to discern the priesthood in the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

As a fellow graduate of Quigley Catholic, I urge and welcome you to re-connect and get involved.  We would love to know where you are and what you are up to.  We are compiling information for an upcoming newsletter and want to share your story.  This newsletter will also include information about the revival of the Quigley Catholic “Alumni Hall of Fame”. Mrs. Walley, now a retired educator, will be chairing the committee.

Please stop by for a visit - we would love to see you.  Not only do we continue to have top notch academics and faith formation, but the school looks great and our sports teams are very exciting to watch.  Don’t miss the 2nd annual soccer tailgate party in the Fall sponsored by our tireless parent group, QC Force.

Please reserve the following dates in 2013:

March 2nd – Annual Fashion Show @ St. Frances Cabrini Hall
May 20th – Annual Golf Outing @ The Club at Shadow Lakes
October 11th – The Quigley Quest Gala @ The Club at Shadow Lakes

These are three great opportunities to re-connect with old friends and make new ones as well!

Gifts of time, talent, and treasure are deeply appreciated.  No gift is too small.  Participation in our Matching Grant Campaign, Naming Scholarship Drive, Double Your Money Sweepstakes Raffle, and the EITC Tax credits program are ways you can help your alma mater financially.

Please keep Quigley Catholic in your prayers.  Our students, faculty, staff and parents continue to work very hard to keep the tradition alive and vibrant.  We may be a variation of the past, but we are rooted in the tradition of The QUIGLEY CATHOLIC FAMILY established over 45 years ago - a tradition that you helped to create.  Come back home and celebrate with us as we move FAITH FORWARD!

Blessing to all,
Michael J. Rubino
